Gorgeous eyes for the Girl on a budget!

I'm a firm believer in "if it aint broke don't fit it". So I think thats why I've always and will always love the original, Naked by Urban Decay. The array of colours are beautiful with a mixture of some base mattes but mostly shimmers that can be worked for a perfect day or night time look!
Although it is expensive, I do feel its worth it if you are a lover of make up!

For those wondering my favourite colours are,  - sin, half baked, and smog :)

Like I said this is an expensive product and might not be accessible to every so I have found a just as gorgeous make up product that will still give you beautiful sultry eyes to die for!

But like I always say it's not what you use it's how you use it! Once you've got the skill you don't need high end make up brands!
This product can be bought directly from the Cosmetic Outlet on Meath St, my favourite one stop shop for all make up, hair and beauty necessities!
The gorgeous W7 In the Buff Palette is a beautiful "go to" product for any make up lover on a budget!
The natural nudes make this palette universally loved!

The best thing about this palette is it's only ten euro!! Can you really get better value for money? And it comes with a dual sided shadow brush! Lately this has been my go to shadow palette and I've created so many beautiful day and night looks! To achieve the best looks with the W7 In the Buff and with the Naked Palette, I use my Madison Collection brush set.

Perfect for Mother's day too, along with other great offers in store including perfumes and skin care!

All that Glitters!

I've always gone for the typical brown smokey eye with a dash of glitter for a night out, BUT...  lately I've been trying to branch out a little! I seen the Maybelline, Colour Tattoo's in store and instantly loved them! They look so much more expensive than they are and the colours are so vibrant!

The vide range of 10 different shades means this collection is ideal for any eye colour, I bought the majority cause some were out of stock but the ones I have I LOVE!!
They have a creamy like consistency, each containing a gel like glitter base. It's inked formula that makes them last all night long without creasing!
Personally, I love using them for a pop of colour on my lower lash line, teamed with a simple pearl shade on the lid and some lashes!
To apply I use my angled shadow brush from the Madison Collection, (The Cosmetic Outlet Dublin 8).

No 15 Audacious Asphalt

-No 5 Too Cool

No 40 Tenacious Teal                   Np 55 Inked In Pink             No 20 Painted Purple

No 20 - Painted purple is the least of my collection that has a glittery sheen, the matted like effect leaves it perfect for a smokey eye base with a midnight purple hue

My favourite of the whole collection!! No 45 Bold Gold

As you can see this ink based shadow is gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous on the lower lash line and really makes any eye colour pop!

These Colour Tattoo's are much more affordable than high end brand cream shadows or pigments! High Quality products for a much cheaper price!
Have fun getting colourful for spring and summer!

Retail price - 10.49

Recent photos!

My new make up brush craze!

A good worker never blames her tools!

I love telling you all about products that are more affordable for the make up lover on a budget! And theres no point in having lots of gorgeous make up without the tools to help of good quality brushes!

The Madison brush set is every where right now and I was so happy to receive my set! The are exclusively bought from the Cosmetic Outlet, (which is located on Meath street)

When I first seen these brushes, I actually melted a little! How beautiful is the packaging alone?! The chic packaging is only the beginning, the brushes themselves come in a travel bag which is ideal for any beauty lover on the go!

Now, down to the important stuff! The brushes are all made from natural hair which is so much better for your skin than synthetic and it makes them easier to clean and more durable too! They have large handles with offers full control over the brush helping you to look flawless!
My favourite thing about the brush set has to be that they are all each engraved with a very classy sliver reading "Madison"! They look so much more expensive than they are offering you full value for money , which is what we all want!

In the set you have 3 shadow brushes, one angled, one blending and one base brush. Theres a perfectly tipped lip brush. A power brush and two foundation brushes, (stippling and flat). So really every brush any make up lover would need!

I don't know if its just me but when I have a set of matching brushes I just feel like I'm doing something right! This brush set is ideal for any beauty lover, weather you are a beginner or a pro I don't feel like you could go wrong with this beautiful set!

They retail for 29.99 which is great value for money! Make sure to pop down to the Cosmetic outlet for some great bargains with makeup, tan, hair products and skin care! Also I'm so happy to tell my readers that now in the cosmetic outlet they have the most beautiful funky jewellery and handbags! So colourful, ideal for the transition from Winter to Spring!
Make sure to tell the staff you heard about these amazing brushes from me :)

This is the shop from the outside, make sure not to miss it! (make sure to like them on Facebook)

Let me know if you get them and what you think!

*foundation brushes are a mixture of hair to provide durability.

The ultimate contour product!!!

Hi :) I know it's been a while since my last blog post but with getting back into college then essays, I've just been up to my eyes :(

But.... I am so happy to say that I have found the average girl's answer to professional make up at home for an AMAZING price! Contouring is so important, it frames you faces, offers definition, structure and gives you that professional make up look that is genuinely so easily done when you've got the right product and you know the right technique.

Pictorial showing where to contour / highlight!

About a month ago I was given a contour palette to review from the Cosmetic outlet Dublin 8 (Meath st for anyone who doesn't know). The product is the owner of the stores own brand called "Madison" and the line is launching at the end of November. This contour palette is so versatile as it will suit the majority of skin tones as there are 10 different colors offering a wide range to contour / highlight with, and the best part of all it's only going to retail at 19.99!!!!

I have recorded a tutorial using this exact product and will link it for anyone who hasn't seen it! I think this product is going to benefit and truly change the way girls contour as it is so easy to use and gives such an amazing finish for that perfected night time look! It's so simple to look like celeb when you've got the right tools and this is definitely going to be one of mine from now on !!

Brush sets also launching late November from the Cosmetic outlets own collection, this is a set of 7 brushes all made with natural hair which will be retailing at 29.99. Just in time for Christmas, this would make a perfect present for any make up lover!! Also I've been informed that all the Christmas stock is now in store with some truly amazing prices!!

UNTAMED!!

One of the best things about Bank Holiday weekends is that there's always something brilliant going! This Sunday there is 4 rooms of music from Dublin's best DJ's at the Village (Wexford Street). Lighthouse, FunkyBox and Strictly Deep have come together to create UNTAMED!! The best thing about tomorrow night is that they're bringing a piece of Zoo Project Ibiza to Dublin!
Zoo themed body paint is so gorgeous and fun, even though I'd never even tried it before I was so excited to teach myself how to do it! My fabulous friend Shannan let me paint her all up like a funky zebra! I used white body/face paint and applied it using a paint brush. I didn't want it to look too neat so I free hand painted on the base color, after it had dried I them drew over it using black body paint and a smaller paint brush. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be but I recommend that if you are going to do your own do practice first!
I drew on different shapes and sizes of lines, I  bought glitter, gems and glitter paint that I'm going to use tomorrow to enhance the colors and lines of the body paint. I'm planning to record one of looks, it should be uploaded on my Youtube channel during the week.

I done a very highlighted look on Shannan using Highlighting powder and Gosh BB Highlighter. Also a dramatic look on both her eyes and lips which is usually a make up mistake but you can't ever be too over done when it comes to Zoo makeup/body paint. I used the Naked Plattee and No7 purple colours. For her lip I used Mac Black Cherry with a red lip line to create my own dark sexy color.

Foundation routine :)

People always ask me how to achieve a flawless skin completion. I will be recording my foundation routine during the week, I personally wear foundation with a heavy coverage as I have problem skin but this technique would easily work for anyone aiming to make their skin look perfected, flawless and airbrushed.
Firstly it's major important that your skin is clean, I'd advise a facial wash using Luke warm water followed by a splash of cold water to close your pores. Toner will also work to ensure that no make up is clogging up your pores. Use a light moisturiser if you have youthful skin as a heavy moisturiser will create too much of a barrier between your make up and will make it come off easily. Always prime your skin to minimise your pores and make your skin smoother, I'd recommend photo ready by revlon.
Always ensure your make up brushes are clean to prevent bacteria (see my YouTube channel on how to clean brushes). Apply your foundation only the back of your hand, using a CLEAN foundation brush start with the inner area of your face blending outwards. Apply a darker colour of foundation on the outer corners of your face to define your features. Apply with a dabbing technique to create a full coverage. Use a highlighting pen, illuminating liquid what ever of your choice, place this under your eye in a triangular shape, on your brow bone, length of your nose, cuspids bow, and either side of your lips. Blend this is using a concealer brush. Always contour the highest parts of your face using a matte brown eye shadow or bronzer (see my contouring video for full explanation). Conceal problem areas again in a saddling motion as not to spread the concealer. Let this all set into your skin for a min or two before you apply your loose powder/pressed powder. This will set the foundation and will create a flawless finish. To ensure there are no sharp lines take a shadow brush with some pressed/loose powder and blend the lines between highlighting and contouring.
I will post a picture showing exactly where to highlight/contour and how important it is to use two foundation colours. Keep posted for this picture and my next video :)
